Kibali, Africa’s Largest and Greenest Gold Mine, Continues to Deliver Growth

Barrick Mining Corporation (NYSE:B)(TSX:ABX) Drilling results from the ARK-KCD corridor continue to strengthen confidence in its scale and continuity, demonstrating the potential to host significant additional orebodies and further extend the life of mine at Kibali, Africa’s biggest and greenest gold mine.

Speaking at a media briefing in Kinshasa today, Barrick president and chief executive Mark Bristow said the work on the ARK-KCD system is revealing a coherent geological structure — with mineralization expanding laterally and down plunge — that could significantly grow Kibali’s reserve base within the existing footprint.

“Kibali was built with a long-term view and has consistently delivered across production, partnerships and reserve growth. We’ve replaced every ounce we’ve mined and more since Kibali poured its first gold in 2013, and the ARK-KCD corridor shows that there’s still much more to come,” he said.

Kibali continues to contribute meaningfully to the Congolese economy with in-country investment now surpassing $6.3 billion, including $3.1 billion in payments to local contractors and partners. The mine remains the single biggest economic contributor to the north eastern DRC, spanning the Haut-Uele and Ituri provinces.

The Kalimva, Ikamva and Ndala satellite pits are being mined under contracts with local businesses, reinforcing Kibali’s strong commitment to developing local content. More than 700 Congolese companies are supported through procurement and capacity-building initiatives and all tenders are published jointly by the mine and the DRC’s subcontracting regulator, ARSP, in line with best practice transparency.

Ongoing operational improvements in the underground mine are expected to deliver material productivity gains from the third quarter with a focus on long-term cost efficiency and performance optimization. Additionally, the commissioning of the 16MW solar plant with an integrated Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) has been completed, raising renewable energy use to 85% with the site operating on 100% renewable energy for six months of the year.

“This is what the energy transition looks like in practice. It’s a benchmark not just for Africa but for the global mining industry,” he said.

Biodiversity conservation also remains central to Barrick’s sustainability strategy. Working with the Congolese Institute for Nature Conservation (ICCN) and African Parks (AP), preparatory work is underway to introduce an additional 64 white rhinos into the Garamba National Park by the end of this year. This follows the successful reintroduction of 16 rhinos in 2023 and forms part of a long-term partnership to restore and nurture biodiversity in the region.

Leadership and capacity building continued through the Barrick Academy with 170 Kibali employees attending training during the second quarter, delivering another tangible investment in the career advancement of Congolese mining professionals.

On the community front, 41 out of 44 projects funded through the 0.3% community development fund have now been completed, delivering essential infrastructure, education and healthcare support. At the same time, execution of the Cahier des Charges is progressing well, with $4.8 million invested to date.

Yukon Metals Identifies New Copper Zone and Mobilizes Second Drill Rig at AZ Property

Yukon Metals Corp. (CSE: YMC, FSE: E770, OTCQB: YMMCF) (” Yukon Metals ” or the ” Company “) is pleased to announce the identification of a newly defined copper target at its 100%-owned 13,110 hectare AZ Project, located approximately 6 kilometres west of the Alaska Highway and 36 kilometres south of Beaver Creek, Yukon. The Company has mobilized a second drill rig to test the newly identified zone, located approximately 4 kilometres southeast of current drilling, to help accelerate exploration across multiple high-priority targets within a large, underexplored hydrothermal system.

The newly defined target is underlain by intrusive rocks exhibiting potassic alteration and visible chalcopyrite in veins and disseminations. The alteration zone extends over approximately 2 square kilometers, and field observations suggest it may represent a lateral or upper expression of a porphyry copper system. While classic stockwork veining is not exposed at surface, the geological characteristics and surface mineralization provide a strong technical basis for drill testing. The target lies within a drainage identified by regional geochemical datasets as having high copper porphyry potential (Mackie et. al., 2016), comparable to those associated with known porphyry deposits in the Yukon.

Yukon-based and Local First Nation Contractors Engaged

Drill pad construction at the AZ Property was completed by Minconsult in partnership with Vision Quest Drilling, a Kluane First Nation citizen-owned company. Helicopter support is being provided by Yukon-based Capital Helicopters, with drilling services contracted to Platinum Drilling. Camp services are being delivered by Käganì, a Kluane First Nation citizen-owned enterprise, in partnership with long-standing Yukon-based exploration contractor Archer Cathro.

About the AZ Project

In September 2024, Yukon Metals conducted a helicopter-supported mapping and sampling program on its AZ property. A prominent zone of orange iron-stained and altered rocks was followed over 1.2 kilometres on the north and eastern flanks of Chair Mountain. Consistent copper mineralization was found along the prospected area. Of the sixty rock-chip samples taken, 18 samples showing significant copper content, assayed from 0.12-3.49%. Hematite alteration was also noted in the area. This can be associated with oxidized hydrothermal fluids, which are key drivers in forming major porphyry copper deposits.

Rock-chip samples were collected in quartz veins within basalt and andesite volcanic rocks in both outcrop and float exposures near the ridge tops. This area is coincident with a major topographic lineament, mapped regionally as a NW trending fault zone, that extends a further kilometer down to Sanpete Creek (a past alluvial gold producer) and the property boundary to the southeast.

The large gossan and mineralized veins provide evidence of a large hydrothermal system driving fluids through the faults and fractures on Chair Mountain. Strongly clay-altered biotite-quartz diorite dykes were mapped in the vicinity of mineralization and are interpreted to be part of the Nutzotin suite of intrusions.

Blue Sky Uranium Acquires Key Subsurface Data for Corcovo Uranium Project, Mendoza Province, Argentina

Blue Sky Uranium Corp. (TSXV: BSK) (FSE: MAL2) (OTC: BKUCF) (“Blue Sky” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has obtained an additional substantial historic subsurface dataset for its Corcovo Uranium Project an “in situ” recovery (” ISR “) high potential target, located in the Western Malargüe Mining District, Mendoza Province Argentina . This dataset was originally generated by operators in the oil & gas (” O&G “) with concession holdings in the area. The new data package includes complete information from 449 historical O&G wells ranging from more than 500 metres up to 750 metres in depth within the Corcovo concession area, featuring geophysical logging data such as gamma-ray, spontaneous potential (SP), and other parameters, compiled in the O&G industry standard format for well log data (Log ASCII Standard or ” LAS ” format). In addition, the Company received 34 2D seismic lines, covering the entire Corcovo project area ( Figure 1 ).

The newly acquired information is currently being integrated into Blue Sky’s geophysical and geological interpretation to refine the exploration targets. The Company continues to work to identify and access additional data, including 3D seismic surveys known to have been previously performed in the project area.

The Corcovo Project covers 20,000 hectares at the northeastern margin of the O&G producing Neuquén Basin. The geological potential of the region for uranium ISR deposits was initially defined by CNEA, the state-owned nuclear company, as reported in the International Atomic Energy Agency and Nuclear Energy Agency document titled: ” Uranium 2024: Resources, Production and Demand “. Blue Sky optioned the Corcovo project in 2024 as part of a strategic initiative to broaden the Company’s medium to long-term prospects for discovery of additional uranium mineral resources. The project benefits from flat topography, road access, and year-round accessibility, supporting cost-effective exploration and potential future ISR development.

      • 0.9m of 2.1% Zn+Pb (1.5% Zn and 0.6% Pb), 831 g/t Ag and 2.46% Cu and
    • 0.9m of 195 g/t Ag and 0.21% Cu and
    • 3.5m of 7.1% Zn+Pb (3.5% Zn and 3.6% Pb), 134 g/t Ag and 0.34% Cu, including
      • 0.9m of 3.5% Zn+Pb (0.5% Zn and 3.0% Pb), 224 g/t Ag and 0.63% Cu
  • These results extend the strike length of the immediate Ballywire discovery corridor from 1,250m to 1,300m, while demonstrating much thicker mineralization than previously encountered
  • This corridor is hosted within a larger 2.6km long trend of robust mineralization pierced by drilling at Ballywire to date, along a prospective trend of over 6km (defined by four regional gravity-high anomalies, only one of which has been systematically drill tested to date)
  • Today’s elevated Cu-Ag values further substantiate the Company’s ‘deeper Cu-Ag’ target (100-200m below the Zn-Pb-Ag horizon), currently being drill tested (second hole in progress)
  • Three rigs are turning at Ballywire with over 4,000m of drilling completed year-to-date; Group Eleven aims to complete 8,000-10,000m in 2025 (fully funded)

“Today’s hole represents our thickest intercept yet at the Ballywire discovery, surpassing our 29.6 metres of 10.6% Zn+Pb, 78 g/t Ag and 0.15% Cu announced in June 2024,” stated Bart Jaworski, CEO. “Not only does this intercept extend strike and show exceptional mineralized thickness but also demonstrates zones of strong copper-silver values. Ballywire Drill Update

The Ballywire prospect at the Company’s 100%-owned PG West Project in Republic of Ireland, represents the most significant mineral discovery in Ireland in over a decade. First announced in Sept-2022, the discovery has 53 holes drilled and reported by Group Eleven to date, including the most recent hole (25-3552-35) reported today (see Exhibits 1 to 3).

Drilling at Ballywire continues with three rigs. Currently, eight (8) new holes are completed (and in the process of being logged, sampled and assayed). Six of these holes are shown in Exhibit 1, with two other holes near gravity-high anomaly ‘D’ (located 1.3km to the ENE). Recently strengthened financial position provides Group Eleven flexibility to either ramp-up drilling in 2025 and/or extend its runway for drilling well into 2026.

Assays from 25-3552-35 are summarized below (see Exhibit 3). Strong mineralization starts to occur within the Waulsortian Limestone at 120.6m downhole and continues intermittently until 187.9m, at which point, mineralization becomes more consistent through to near the base of the Waulsortian Limestone at 242.9m. Below the Waulsortian Limestone, several horizons of elevated copper-silver occur. Mineralization consists predominantly of sphalerite, galena and pyrite, with the copper-silver bearing zones also containing chalcopyrite and suspected tennantite-tetrahedrite.

Qualified Person

Technical information in this news release has been approved by Professor Garth Earls, Eur Geol, P.Geo, FSEG, geological consultant at IGS (International Geoscience Services) Limited, and independent ‘Qualified Person’ as defined under Canadian National Instrument 43-101.

Sampling and Analytical Procedures

All core drilled at Ballywire is NQ (47.6mm) and is cut using a rock saw. Sample intervals vary between 0.55m to 1.32m with an average (over 188 samples) of 0.92m. The half-core samples are bagged, labelled and sealed at Group Eleven’s core store facility in Limerick, Ireland. Selected sample bags are examined by the Qualified Person. Transport is via an accredited courier service and/or by Group Eleven staff to ALS Laboratories in Loughrea Co. Galway, Ireland. Sample preparation at the ALS facility comprises fine crushing 70%

Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Information

Group Eleven inserts certified reference materials (“CRMs” or “Standards”) as well as blank material, to its sample stream as part of its industry-standard QA/QC programme. The QC results have been reviewed by the Qualified Person, who is satisfied that all the results are within acceptable parameters. The Qualified Person has validated the sampling and chain of custody protocols used by Group Eleven.
